Current addition to the module handbooks for the summer semester 2021.
This document is a supplement to the module handbooks of the degree programs in mathematics
and was approved by the Mathematics Studies Committee on April 29, 2021.
It specifies for all mathematics courses offered in the summer semester 2021,
in which modules or study areas the course can be used and
which course and examination achievements are required in each case.
In terms of examination law, this supplement is part of the respective module handbooks.
Information about contents, literature, etc. for compulsory courses can be found in the
module handbooks,
for elective courses in the annotated course catalog of the current semester.
Notes:
-
Deviations from the specified type of examination are permissible,
if, due to circumstances for which the examiner is not responsible,
the intended type of examination would not be suitable or would involve disproportionate effort.
The same applies to coursework.
-
Students in the discontinued teaching degree programs according to GymPO should inquire with the respective
lecturers about the requirements.
In general:
If a course is approved as an elective module in a degree program that is not listed, the requirements are based on
- the elective module of the B.Sc. degree program, if examinations are required,
- the elective module of the M.Sc. degree program, if only coursework is required.
-
In the case of elective and compulsory elective modules, the students are responsible
to ensure that they have the necessary prior knowledge!
-
If written exercises are required as part of the course work, they are usually to be completed on a weekly basis,
or fortnightly in the case of one-hour exercises.
Depending on the start, end, rhythm and individual breaks, there can be between 5 and 14 exercise sheets.
The number of points that can be achieved per exercise sheet can vary.
For practical exercises, the rules apply analogously to programming tasks.
