The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the University of Freiburg invites applications for a

Full Professorship (W3) for Pure Mathematics

The new professor is an internationally established researcher and is expected to represent the field of analysis with a strong connection to stochastics, being an expert in both areas. They will act as a link between the field of stochastics and the field of analysis/partial differential equations at the Institute of Mathematics. Substantial participation in joint third-party funded projects at the Institute is desired. Furthermore, they will be expected to take an appropriate share of the general teaching obligations of the Institute of Mathematics as well as academic self-governance.

Prerequisites for the employment of Professors are a university degree, an outstanding dissertation and an excellent publication record. Substantial achievements and experience in academic research and teaching, at the level of a Habilitation according to the German academic system, are expected.
