Current addition to the module handbooks for the winter semester 2020/21
This document is a supplement to the module handbooks of the degree programs in Mathematics
and was approved by the Study Commission Mathematics on 11.12.2020.
It indicates for all mathematics courses offered in the winter semester 2020/21 in which modules or study areas the course
can be used and which study and examination achievements are required in each case.
In terms of examination law, this supplement is part of the respective module handbooks.
Information about contents, literature, etc. for compulsory courses can be found in the
module handbooks,
for elective courses in the annotated course catalog of the current semester.
Notes:

If a course is admitted (e.g. as an elective module) in a degree program not listed, the requirements are based on
- the elective module of the B.Sc. degree program, if examinations are required,
- the elective module of the M.Sc. degree program, if only coursework is required.

In the case of elective and compulsory elective modules or compulsory modules with elective options,
the students are responsible for
paying attention to the necessary previous knowledge!

The number of ECTS points is only indicated if it is not derived from the examination regulations.

If written exercises are required as part of the course work, they are usually to be completed on a weekly basis,
or fortnightly in the case of one-hour exercises.
Depending on the start, end, rhythm and individual breaks, there can be between 5 and 14 exercise sheets.
The number of points that can be achieved per exercise sheet can vary.
