Current addition to the module handbooks for the winter semester 2017/18

This document is a supplement to the module handbooks of the degree programs in mathematics and was approved by the Mathematics Study Committee on November 2, 2017. It indicates for all mathematics courses offered in the winter semester 2017/18 in which modules or study areas the course can be used and which study and examination achievements are required in each case. In terms of examination law, this supplement is part of the respective module handbooks. Information about contents, literature etc. can be found partly in the module handbooks, partly in the Annotated Course Catalog for the respective semester.

Notes:

• If written exercises are required as part of the course work, they are usually to be completed on a weekly basis, or fortnightly in the case of one-hour exercises. Depending on the start, end, rhythm and individual breaks, there can be between there can be between 5 and 14 exercise sheets. The number of points that can be achieved per exercise sheet can vary.
• In the case of elective and optional modules, students are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary prior knowledge!
• The composition of the specialization module (in the Master of Science) must be agreed with an examiner; not all combinations are permitted.
