Access to the News-App (accessible within the university network or vpn) is required. In order to get access, write an email to news@math.uni-freiburg.de. There you can enter news, create lecture series, and lectures within lecture series.

There are two ways to transfer appointments from the weekly calendar to your own calendar app:

Transferring individual appointments

If you are logged in via vpn, there is a calendar view here where you can also display the weekly program. If you click on any appointment, you are offered to transfer it to your own google calendar or to download an ics file that you can integrate into any calendar. After the transfer, the appointment is in your own calendar. If something changes in the weekly program, this will not be transferred to your own calendar.

Importing a lecture series

Internally, URLs of the form https://www.math.uni-freiburg.de/wochenprogramm/de/Kurzname.ics are generated, which you can subscribe to (i.e. import into your calendar app). The short name is the short name entered in the weekly program. These calendars can be imported in a similar way to a public holiday calendar.

Here is a guide for Thunderbird:

  • Go to the Calendar tab
  • New calendar -> In the network -> Address as specified above, _This address does not require any access data -> Search calendar

  • More calendars -> by URL -> enter address from above
